Junior Buyer - Accessories (6598)

Our Role

Reporting to the Head of Buying- Clothing & LWC, you will support in strategizing, sourcing and developing a complimentary accessories range to sit alongside the clothing offer. The accessories range will mainly consist of footwear, bags, belts and jewellery.

What you'll be doing

  • Strategize, source and develop an elevated and curated accessories offer that compliments the clothing offer
  • Understand the market place and carry out competitive shops for both direct competitors as well as aspirational brands
  • Manage and deliver the range in line with the CP to achieve 90% availability target
  • Work closely across function to ensure a balanced, profitable and aspirational range is delivered- design, technical, merchandising
  • Work closely with the supply base to ensure we offer premium product, at affordable prices whilst achieving set dept margins
  • Work closely alongside the clothing team to ensure a cohesive head to toe offer is delivered to the customer
  • Work with and develop relationships with external brands on certain product categories

What skills & experience you will need

 

  • Previous experience in an accessories product development buying role at a similar level within the market
  • Experience in having sourced relevant suppliers and factories with the appropriate skill set
  • Clear understanding of a Critical Path
  • Demonstrate the ability of having worked closely alongside design, technical and merchandising
  • Demonstrate a strong product eye
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of product development systems- RP, PLM, D365 etc
  • Branded experience would be beneficial
